How does Udwarthanam Act on the Body?
सिरामुखा विविक्थत्वां त्वक्स्थस्याग्नेश्च तेजनं i (su sam)
Massaging with medicated powders (wet/dry) stimulates vessel openings, activating Bhrajaka Pitta on the skin. This burns excess fat, brightens the skin, and improves blood circulation.
Special massage strokes with powders create heat and friction, helping herbs absorb through the skin to break down fat cells and subcutaneous tissue. The mobilized fat enters the lymphatic system, gets processed, and is excreted. The herbs also tone skin tissue, enhancing elasticity to prevent wrinkles and scars.
